CONSTITUTION DAY-THURSDAY, SEPTEMBER 17

Constitution Day (or Citizenship Day) is an American federal observance that recognizes the adoption of the United States Constitution and those who have become U.S. citizens. It is normally observed on September 17, the day in 1787 that delegates to the Constitutional Convention signed the document in Philadelphia.  ASB ran a poster constest, sent  "Fun Fact Sheets" on the Constitution to the teachers for use in advisory class and  ran a  quiz during their lunch with  prizes.

Mr. White's Class LIGHTS UP !!

Mr. White's 8th grade Science classes are studying electricity. They recently did a lab showing the pathway of electricity and the light it produced. They lined up batteries end to end with the correct Positive(+) /Negative(-) connection and measured the energy  using a Labquest and Vernier probes.   Using that energy, they then created a light bulb. The amount of light they made surprised them !!! It also made the whole room smell of something burning....
