Blowing Wind with Mr.Shiffman

Mr. Shiffman's Environmental Science  classes have been working with the wind fans and engineering  different  kinds of blades to get the best efficiency out of them. They use the Vernier Probes with the  LabQuest 2 to measure the different rates with the different blades to see which one works the best.












Channel Islands University Students Teach the 7th grade Science Classes

Fremont 7th grade science classes had visitors from the Channel Islands State university come and teach a lesson for the day in December.It was about pyrocystis fusiformis. a microscopic organism that glows in the dark when shaken . After learning a song about the organism and it's properties, the students were given a Glowing Gift of the organism in a test tube. They could then take it home and share with their family and friends.

CLUB FAIR DAY

 Fremont Clubs were out in force one sunny December day. Students who were interested got the chance to talk to other club members about the individual clubs and what they did.  The teachers also were there to encourage students.






Ability Awareness Assemblies for 6th Graders December 8-10, 2015


The 6th grade PE classes had the opportunity to attend an Ability Awareness Assembly sponsored by the PTA. The goal of the Assembly was to promote understanding, acceptance and appreciation of individual learning and ability differences through fun, experiential activities.  The students had an interesting experience and were challenged by the activities.

Square dancing in 6th grade

THRILLER
The 6th graders in Mr. Koch's classes have been learning square dancing. The classes invited parents and showed of their new dancing legs on recent sunny day. Some of them even dressed the part! They performed all the steps with straight lines and had a ton of fun moving to the music.
