Looking into the Oxnard Farming Industry with Ms., Nolan's class.

Ms. Nolan recently had several visitors to her classroom as part of project where students became the investigators. They looked into the history and issues that affect modern agriculture. Guest were interviewed and students were exposed to different areas of the Oxnard Farming Industry, with consideration of Monsanto GMO's, pesticides, and the laws that govern the industry. The following pictures are of just one of the interviews that were held in the classroom.

ROTC at OHS

Fremont was invited to visit Oxnard High School to see the very popular ROTC program they offer to incoming Freshman. Several of our students tried out the Obstacle Course and did very well as the photos show. Thank you to Dr.La Monte for taking the photos.

The Fremont PTA sponsored Career Day on June 2. Careers from every walk of life were represented. Just a few of the many visitors are shown in the photos. It was a HUGE success and the students got a taste of different pathways that are open to them: everything from working with dogs on a military base, working with technology and computers, and also in the arts and sciences.
